Our client is a global leader in print and imaging equipment, visual communications and IT solutions. Due to their growth and expansion in the western market, we have a unique opportunity for a technical sales professional within our client’s Visual Communications vertical in Vancouver. As a Visual Communications Technology Consultant, you are a subject matter expert and mentor to the supporting sales team for Visual Communications products and services.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, Visual Communication Technology, the Visual Communications Technology Consultant enhances the sales process through the design of architecture, specialized services and Visual Communications solutions – specifically Videoconferencing, Interactive Flat Panel Display, Projector and Digital Signage.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with Solution Consultants, Direct Sales Representatives, or other sales specialists within the Services Division. Engage vendor partners to assist in complex solutions where appropriate.
- Travel with field sales team and identify decision makers, opportunities and client needs. Support presentations, solution prototype development, and demonstrations.
- Provide expertise during the pre-sales process to drive and exceed assigned revenue targets or other metric objectives
- Contribute technical and design input in support of RFP/RFI activity
- Take ownership technical knowledge and demonstrate value to clients
Requirements and Qualifications
- Post Secondary Education – Business or technology degree or diploma preferred
- CTS-D certification or equivalent AV knowledge and experience required
- Expertise in Projectors, Video Conferencing and Interactive Flat Panel Displays. Proficient in the operation and integration of Crestron, AMX, Extron control systems and VTS systems
- Solutions based sales experience in AV Consultation, System Design and Project management
- Demonstrated track record developing successful design and deployment of AV products, unified communications, and business applications
- Ability to work with effectively within a professional, team-oriented environment
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong business acumen
