Responsibilities:
- Underwrite profitable business for new and renewal accounts
- Negotiate price and terms and conditions with key producer partners
- Proactively support the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders in the market
- Approach business and underwriting activities in compliance with all applicable governance, ethical frameworks and legal guidelines
- Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued and support policy administration and credit control processes
Requirements:
- Post Secondary Education, preferably in Economics, Finance, Insurance Management, or Business Administration
- Acquired CIP insurance designation (or working toward)
- At least 3 years of experience underwriting profitable business with a proven track record
- Ability to build and establish relationships with brokers at peer group level
- Good understanding of regional and local insurance markets Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks that govern insurance
- Strong communication ability and experience working in complex, global matrix organization
