Director Emergency Travel Assistance

Lock Search Group is currently sourcing a Director to manage a travel assistance team for their client in in Vancouver. The client, a leading provider of specialized travel insurance, is one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. Responsibilities

  • Develop and direct team competencies through planning, staffing, training and process improvement activities
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to identify, establish and implement key performance indicators and measures that will foster a high performing, engaged team focused on delivering the best customer experience
  • Manage positive working relationships with physicians, consultants and other partners to ensure the most efficient use of expertise and resources.
  • Ensures departmental excellence, compliance with industry standards and all aspects of the department as it pertains to improving client experiences.
  • Practice top-down leadership in support of learning opportunities, customer experience, and your own professional development

Requirements

  • Relevant Degree in Business, Healthcare, or another related discipline
  • Experience in the Insurance Industry with a track record in travel, emergency assistance or another crisis management environment.
  • Superior capacity to critically evaluate scenarios, quickly produce decisions and advise front-line staff in a fast-paced and time-sensitive setting.
  • Significant leadership experience, including a demonstrated ability in Strategic planning; Successful project delivery; Leading a customer experience, focused team; Collaborating effectively with pertinent stakeholders; Practicing diplomatic, tactful, & persuasive communication.
  • Knowledge of International travel insurance industry and US healthcare industry an asset
