A unique opportunity to join this world renowned organization as a Regional Vice President, Underwriting in Western Canada, exists in their Vancouver branch. Achieving and exceeding the regional goals; developing and implementing strategic plans; and supervising and leading a team of business development and underwriting professionals are key responsibilities for the Regional Vice President, Underwriting.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in senior management, either an underwriting or insurance operations
- A University Degree or College Diploma
- Possess a CIP or FCIP designation
- At least 10 years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience
- A “hands-on” approach to broker management
- Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills
- A passion for team-building, mentoring and outspoken leadership
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
